Invitation to a brief reflection
A listening heart is mindful and attentive,
willing and receptive, persistent and patient.
A listening heart seeks stillness and silence,
avoids all kinds of chattiness,
allows itself and others enough time.
A listening heart combines depth and breadth,
is open to surprises, pleasant and amazing things.
A listening heart creates enough inner space
to also keep safe what it neither understands nor grasps.
A listening heart can keep to itself what has been entrusted to it
and takes good care to always exercise discretion.
A listening heart allows God to speak and to reveal himself,
keeps his secret, allows himself to be questioned and helped by him.
A listening heart is careful and cautious in judging,
can forgive and thus prevents any bitterness.
A listening heart never acts like a know-it-all,
preferring to remain vulnerable rather than becoming hard or cold.
A listening heart knows that it only sees well
because the essential always remains invisible to the eyes.
A listening heart breathes in longing,
can empathize and empathize, senses how others feel.

Un corazón que escucha es atento y cuidadoso,
receptivo y dispuesto, perseverante y paciente.
Un corazón que escucha busca la calma y el silencio,
evita cualquier tipo de charlatanería y se da a sí mismo y a los demás el tiempo suficiente.
Un corazón que escucha combina profundidad y amplitud,
está abierto a las sorpresas, a lo agradable y a lo asombroso.

Un corazón que escucha es cauto y comedido al juzgar,
sabe perdonar y evita así cualquier resentimiento.
Un corazón que escucha nunca se presenta como sabelotodo,
prefiere permanecer vulnerable antes que endurecerse o volverse frío.
Un corazón que escucha sabe que solo se ve bien con él,
porque lo esencial para los ojos siempre permanece invisible.
Un corazón que escucha respira en la nostalgia,
puede sentir y empatizar, siente cómo se sienten los demás.
