It was Sunday and we took the bus to a very important place in Spanish history. It was the monastery of San Millán Yuso and Suso, where the first written words in the Spanish language were found. We took a guided tour of the two houses and were confronted with the highly interesting history of the place.
The day gave us time to relax and reflect on the past few days and also to get to know our sisters and brothers in a different and more relaxed way.

The morning began with a lecture on the content of a message. How is the message “sent” and what content is “received”? What do we read or believe we read in the message? The packed program of the assembly continued. We saw an outline of the signs of the times and how we might respond to their questions, and an introduction to the ROPs, what they are, and what significance they have for the work of the organization. This revealed some discussion points, which were further explored in small groups.

In the afternoon, we had a presentation by the outgoing Superior General of the Salvatorians, Fr. Milton Zonta SDS. He shared with us the developments within the Society and its intentions for the future. Of course, aspects of the collaboration between the three Salvatorian branches were also an important topic. De tweede dag begon met een lezing door pater George Kolodziej SDS, de facilitator van de Algemene Vergadering. Hij nam ons mee op een reflectieve reis over hoe we elkaar op een zusterlijke en broederlijke manier kunnen behandelen, en hoe we elkaar met respect en geduld kunnen behandelen. We moeten onze verschillen in cultuur respecteren, mentaliteit, taal, en manier om ons uit te drukken. Tegelijkertijd, we kunnen de rijkdom ontdekken die God ons door deze dingen heeft gegeven.

De andere punten op de agenda van die ochtend waren het verslag van het Algemeen Comité over de laatste ambtstermijn en de moeilijkheden veroorzaakt door de afwezigheid van leden van het Algemeen Comité., de Covid-crisis en de impact ervan, maar ook de grote vreugde om erkend te worden als Vereniging van Gelovigen bij het Dicasterie van Leken, Familie, en leven.
